Stefano Cambruzzi

Cambruzzi shines and leads the Vuelta Bolivia high-performance competition at Urubo Golf Club.

With excellent players and a strong common team desire, this is the key to efficiency in keeping with the scenery that presents itself on the Urubo golf course. Urubo Golf, an excellent development in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, has an 18-hole Championship Course, very well designed and built by the Spanish company Global Golf, but it lacks professionals working in its management industry to this day.

An excellent course with diverse characteristics will receive players from all over the country, hosted by the Bolivian Golf Federation for this weekend. From Friday to Sunday the Top of junior players will be in Urubo Golf for another stage of the Volta Bolivia circuit in the pristine facilities of what promises to be the biggest and best golf club in the country. Located in the vicinity of Santa Cruz de La Sierra, Urubo Golf will receive the best young representatives of each club from all over the country, ranked in the first places of their respective internal and national rankings.

Stefano Cambruzzi, 12 years old, who was already Rookie of the year, Highlight and Best Student at LMGS, even under pressure shot a 74 gross ensuring the first place in the tournament followed by Matias Monasterios with 76. The tournament brings together the elite of Bolivian junior golf in the five different categories boys and girls.

Very difficult to predict who will be the champion in the category Children A but considering the results of the first day and the high level of preparation that defines the leader of the tournament, Stefano Cambruzzi has great chances of raising the trophy for constantly seeking to reach a degree of high confidence and technical improvement in each competition. This includes preparation, thinking clearly and serenely and determination, which will undoubtedly be prevalent until the last green of the final 18 holes of the competition. This determination will take this boy far in this sport and will make him worth and reward all the efforts of his parents during this period that precedes the university and the professional. Says Luiz Martins, one of the most respected South American Coaches with a worldwide recognized reputation.

If the spirit of golf were transferred to football, the defenders would ask to mark their fouls not noticed by the referee, and the attackers would request the annulment of their goals in offside. That's the fun of golf. Respect for the rules, integrity, play with respect to companions and Nature.

Obviously, golf is not for everyone, because some prefer to win anyway and applaud the unworthy winner of the title of champion, which theoretically means the example to be followed.

From time to time we see a player who breaks rules, most of the time, by ignoring the rules of golf. The others do not deserve to be called golfers. We must reinforce the disclosure of the rules and show golfers that knowledge of rules can mean greater pleasure when going out on the course and less controversy.

So, congratulations to the Federations that are concerned with preparing their players in the knowledge of the rules and especially the spirit of golf that makes our sport different in a world that is more flexible in its ethical principles every day.

A lot of work and dedication in the organization of the ¨Volta Bolivia´ circuit of the Bolivian Golf Federation in order to keep junior golf and all young people in full movement and competition. Although without many resources and being the smallest federation in the South American continent, its leaders know and strive every year to continue to promote golf as a sport in the Bolivian territory. They know and hope to prepare their players to reap the best fruits and results in international participation in the South American Pre-Juvenile, Juvenile and in the World Cups and Los Andes.

Bolivia also has a press specializing in golf, headed by Journalist Erwin Arias, to whom we extend our thanks and congratulations for playing an important role in promoting Bolivian golf, to the country and to the world. All this, through its program ¨Golf Sport¨ with interviews, comments and disclosure of the main events in the country that can be followed on Youtube and its web page on facebook. Keep it up, Mr. Erwin Arias!
