LMGS - Fathers Day

 Fathers Day

Anthony and Aidan bates triumph on the 18 holes of the Bethesda Grange in the Father's Day Tournament.

Anthony Bates and his 13-year-old son Aidan triumphed in the Father's Day tournament by presenting the 67 (-5) card on the 18 holes of the Rolling Hills Golf Club Bethesda Grange. The tournament brought together 10 couples between parents, children, uncles, which was played in 18 holes, on the last Saturday, June 27 from 3:20 in the afternoon.

Willy and Amy Wang were the vice champions of the Tournament finishing the 18 holes with 71 net strokes, held last Saturday with the participation of 10 couples, between students and parents, who took advantage of the favorable weather conditions registered in the city to enjoy a nice championship day.
Third place in the tournament was won by Darren and Lucas Miyasaki also with 71 net tiebreaker.
In the 9 hole category, the champions were Frank Valdez and Emma Valdez with a net result of 39.
It should be mentioned that the tournament was played using the Scramble system (choose the best ball) and successive shots from the chosen venue were awarded with LMGS trophies and gifts to all the participating parents.
The most encouraging thing was to see the students at the school play with their parents. Future Champions with ages from 7 years to 15 years will play with their parents in this modality to 9 and 18 holes, whose hope of seeing them on the field daily forces us to declare all of them winners.

The participants were:

Anthony and Aidan Bates 67
Willy and Amy Wang 71
Darren and Lucas Miyasaki 71
Ken and Cooper Leung 72
Jason and John Yang 73
Lincon and Victoria Flavius 74
Ravi and Nishant Joshi 75
Kavita and Ishita Joshi 76
Franci and Harry Feng 80
Frank and Emma Valdez 39

The Father's Day Golf Tournament was a complete success, since a good number of golfers participated, who at the end of the competition shared a general photo of all the participants, always respecting the social distance and care required by the Pandemic of the COVID 19.

Our thanks to LMGS and to all the parents who were present to honor the event and their children, students of the School.
