With a score of 58 (-14), the LMGS team captained by Coach Luiz finished second in the Durham GFC Golf Classic Annual Golf Tournament

The Durham GFC Golf Classic today celebrated the annual team golf tournament, which was hosted by the wonderful Deer Creek Golf Club. The meeting was attended by numerous amateur and professional golfers, all passionate about golf.

The LMGS team captained by Coach Luiz Martins, made up of Amy Wang, Aidan and Altaf Dhalla, had been preparing over the past week and therefore shone with the talent and skill of Aidan Dhalla and Amy Wang, the protagonists in helping to complete the day with a total score of 58 (-14). They lost only to the winning team who finished the day with a miraculous result of -16.

"It's always a pleasure to see first-hand and in practice the degree of technical development that our students possess playing on the golf course." Comments Coach Luiz!

The event brought together a total of 36 teams with a hundred participants. Despite very wet and quite heavy course, we were not detracted from enjoying the spectacular course of the Deer Creek Golf Club, and we still had the opportunity to see Amy receive the “Nearest to Pin” award from the 8th hole sponsored by the different contributors to the event.

The awards ceremony took place on the terrace of the clubhouse, where all those present received their thanks, especially to the organization of the Durham GFC Golf Classic Annual Golf Tournament, for its commitment to the development of golf as a sport.

The Durham GFC Golf Classic Annual is a firm commitment to the development of the how and is supported by several sponsoring companies including A FEW GOOD MEN, all technology partners of the circuit, and our preferred suppliers. The end was a wonderful meeting and relaxation between everyone drizzled with lots of beer following the tradition of the Irish colony.
